Your camera and microphone data
We never see, hear, store or upload your camera or microphone data. All tests on MicTest+ run entirely inside your web browser using standard Web APIs (getUserMedia, Web Audio, MediaRecorder). Recordings and snapshots you create stay in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the tab, unless you choose to download them to your own device.
Information stored on your device
We save your theme preference in your browser's local storage. We do not use accounts and do not ask for your name or email address.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics) to count visits and understand which pages are useful. This data is aggregated and never includes your camera or microphone content.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to its processing. Because we don't collect personal data ourselves, most requests concern our advertising and analytics partners. Contact us and we'll help.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
